Literary fiction, classics, dystopian, history, memoir, prize winners, and of course the 1001 books. You really might catch me reading anything!
I've been trying to read more poetry. I admit I haven't been doing a great job, but I did pick up this one.
This unusual little book of non-traditional poetry. After finishing it, I am mostly just confused. I think it takes place in Korea. I think it is in the future. Or is it meant to be North Korea today? Or in the very near future? Or is it post-apocalyptic?
The "lingua franca" is easy enough to understand, though reading out loud made it much easier. Which makes it seem as though she could mean this to be right now.
Or maybe I'm just taking it all too seriously? Maybe it's not meant to be at any time?
I hate being frustrated after reading a book.
